Introduction to Ayurveda

What is Ayurveda and why does it matter?

Ayurveda originated over 5000 years ago and is the sister science of yoga. It is a wholistic approach to living and healing that promotes balance between mind, body, spirit & social wellbeing. It includes diet and lifestyle recommendations to be the most vibrant, healthiest and happiest version of yourself, no matter the season. 

In this workshop you will learn about the basics of Ayurveda

  • where does Ayurveda come from and what does it consist of?

  • what does it mean in terms of your health and wellness?

  • what are doshas and how to they relate to a balanced diet?

  • learn to cook through the lens of Ayurveda

We will also touch on how you can identify imbalances or illnesses within your body, how you can harness the tools of Ayurveda to create a daily routine specific to you, and learn about making Ayurvedic meals for lasting health and energy.
